Today I don\u2019t want to look at the two-edged sword, I don\u2019t want to look at the innermost thoughts that the word exposes. I want to look at the word that is alive and powerful. This verse speaks about the Logos which is used to express a complete idea and is used in referring to the Holy Scriptures. The complete bible.
The word of God is alive; from the Greek we learn that it is living water, having vital power in itself and passing this on to your soul. \u201cThe instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul.\u201d Psalms 19:7.
The second description in the verse, it is powerful. There are three meanings found and together it is a powerful combination. The words are energetic, active, and effective. The logos word is full of energy, and not only that, it is also active and effective. Energy in itself would not be enough it is activated and moves to where it needs to go and will effectively do what it was purposed to do.
